Greetings. I’m writing to you from a car filled with two screaming little ones in a parking lot while I wait on the older two at an activity. Excuse any and all errors…. this is going to be quick & dirty. I hope you enjoy this drop of a bunch of random stuff circling in my brain, on my to-do list and in my cart. Don’t forget to subscribe to the paid version if you want to get access to all of my shopping hauls, recipe adventures, travel guides (coming soon) and exclusive content!
I have no idea how it is already mid December! I feel like every year I have this list of fun things I want to do with the girls and if I am not careful I can let it overwhelm me. I’ve decided to just do one fun little thing each day… my own mom advent calendar if you will! This week so far we made reindeer food, made a list of Christmas movies we wanted to watch and made salt dough ornaments. I save a bunch of inspiration on my Pinterest board if you want to check it out.
If you’re looking for the links to the advent stuff we’re doing you can find our favorite books & devotionals here. The girls have been loving this little nativity advent calendar and we’ve been reading this advent devotion book.
Yesterday I got ready for a Christmas party and finally used some new makeup. I am loving this concealer. A tiny bit goes a VERY long way. I bought shade 3 because shade 2 was sold out and I definitely think I need 2 since it’s neutral. The 3 pulls a little yellow on my skin. I also bought these pods in Rendez Vous and the shades are so pretty. I will try to share them later on IG.
In eyebrow news I started testing out this brow liner in taupe and I’m pretty impressed. It’s more pigmented than my Anastasia one but at $9 you honestly can’t beat it. However the Anastasia one is 30% off right now if you love it as much as I do!
Two new products I’ve used that I don’t love are the Divi Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner and this setting spray. The Divi makes my hair feel so oily & heavy & the setting spray is terrible… it feels like you’re spraying rubbing alcohol on your face. Something I would know a little bit about because when I was on the dance team in college we would spray HAIR SPRAY on our face to set our makeup. Yes, hair spray. Unfortunately it would be years before I would stumble across the world’s best setting spray.
If you’re still shopping (and wrapping) for Christmas gifts I rounded up even more gifts, stocking stuffers and wrapping paper favorites on Amazon here. You can also click to shop all the GIFT GUIDES HERE. My elves (helpers) are working on compiling the master outdoorsman gift list thanks to Zach hunting down all. the. links. I’m also going to post personal shopping suggestions from my IG channel to the Substack insiders later!
For now, here are this week’s favorites & finds, weekly best sellers and everything you might have missed on Instagram lately. Don’t forget you can always head to ShopMy or LTK for the latest finds, outfits and home decor!
